Nature Magazine takes a stand in current January 7, 2010 issue!
The highly respected Nature journal says “the stigma of psychiatric disorders is
misplaced. The burden of psychiatric disorders on society are significantly
greater than more publicized diseases……and biomedical science is poised to make
significant strides.” Echoing Dr. Thomas Insel of the NIMH, Nature concludes
“There are many ways in which the understanding and treatment of conditions such
as schizophrenia are ripe for a revolution.”
